Back to the Blog (2009 Edition)
Written by Barns on September 9, 2009 – 2:12 pmIt seems as though I have been quite lax at blogging this year. A full six months have passed and I have not written a single entry. Frequent visitors will have no doubt noticed the change in design, and with it brings a new opportunity to blog more frequently. Much has happened since February, but I will start updating readers with tidbits from my research and other happenings as they come and go.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Written by Barns on June 7, 2008 – 8:40 pmI have just been to see the second film in the series based on CS Lewis’s famous series of novels. Once again the special effects were incredible. The river scene seemed, at first, to be a remake of the one from The Lord of the Rings, but it proved to be a magnificent example of fluid dynamics in CG.
It was an excellent sequel to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the question is whether they are going to call it quits or make all seven. Only time will tell…

Back to Blogging
Written by Barns on May 24, 2008 – 4:49 pmWell, I’ve had this “server” for a while, but haven’t actually utilised the possibilities of having a webserver on the Internet… After setting up and running WordPress on my research blog, I have decided to use a similar configuration here.
The trick would appear to be getting MySQL to run in such a memory limited environment. I have it running, but I’m not sure how effectively! Depending on how this goes, I may be able to justify upgrading this virtual server to have more resources.
